Glen, Julie, and I made our way down to Hawn State Park for the weekend to enjoy a bit of rest and relaxation and smores and Fat Tire.
Glen arrived the night before Julie and I did and picked out one of the “Walk-in Basic” campsites for us to stay at. I would HIGHLY recommend these sites to anyone heading down to do any car camping at this park. By giving up the ability to park within feet of your campsite you gain a lot of privacy compared to the other sites which are basically built one on top of the other.
Julie and I set up camp and then headed out for a short hike on one of the many trails nearby in the park.
It was a nice warm day for early Spring and a much needed chance to stretch our legs after a cold winter. This park is beautiful and I hope to head back many more times in the future.
More photos to come.
